Who I Am
Special Education Mum is brought to you by me, Christina Keeble! I have worked in the special education field since 2002 and have a passion for teaching, research, raising awareness & facilitating understanding. I am Autistic and have ADHD, being diagnosed as an adult after my children were.
I am currently delivering my seminars to parents and professionals and supporting families, schools and businesses as an educational consultant. I have a Masters in Special Education, a Diploma in Education Primary, and a BA with Honours in Psychology. I've been honoured to have worked with a variety of children with additional needs and their families (from 0-17 years old) across a range of settings including the classroom (NSW & VIC), playgroups (VIC), and social services (NSW), I have a strong interest in Autism and worked in Autism specific schools (NSW) for several years.
To keep my skills and knowledge relevant and up-to-date, I work causally as an Academic Lecturer on Autism and as a special education teacher in my local area. I'm also a mother of 2 gorgeous, children; both who are Neuro-diverse and on the Autism Spectrum.
"I had a passion for working with children with additional needs long before I became a mother. However, now with 2 children of my own and the journey of walking beside them in their diagnoses, I get it. I understand it from all angles, and feel that this makes me a better teacher."
Let my lived experience and knowledge be tailored to suit your needs.
